Accredited Solar & Battery Installation

MOB Energy installs solar and battery systems for homes and businesses that want to cut their power bills and rely less on the grid.

Michael is a licensed electrician accredited through Solar Accreditation Australia, so you know the job's done to Australian standard.

What we do

New solar system, battery added to what you've already got, or a full upgrade, we'll tailor it to your property, your usage and your budget.

  • Solar panel installation
  • Battery storage installation
  • Adding batteries to existing solar systems
  • Upgrades and expansions
  • Cleaning, maintenance and repairs

Solar and batteries pay for themselves by cutting how much power you buy from the grid, while making your home run on cleaner energy.

Battery Storage Solutions

No Solar Yet? Good Time to Go Solar + Battery

If you're starting from scratch, it's worth going solar and battery together. The panels cut what you draw from the grid during the day; the battery banks the extra for the evening and overnight, when you'd otherwise be paying full price.

Get the system sized right and you'll see lower bills, more of your power coming from the sun, and a lot more control over how your home uses electricity.

No two homes are the same. Your ideal setup depends on how much power you use, your roof, how much sun you get, your existing wiring and what you're trying to achieve.

Already Have Solar? A Battery Makes It Work Harder

Got solar already? A battery gets more value out of the system you've already paid for.

Most homes generate more solar than they use during the day. Right now that surplus is probably just being exported to the grid for next to nothing. A battery stores it instead, so you can use it that evening rather than buying it back later.

What Is a Solar Battery?

It's storage for the power your panels make but you don't use straight away. Rather than sending that surplus back to the grid, the battery holds it for you to use during the evening, overnight, or whenever your panels aren't producing.

How Does It Work?

During the day your panels power your home. Whatever you're not using gets diverted into the battery instead of exported. Once the sun's down, or you're pulling more than your panels are making, the battery kicks in automatically. You end up running on your own solar well after dark.

Why Add a Battery?

Lower bills

Use your own solar instead of buying it back from the grid at evening and overnight rates, usually when power costs the most.

More from the solar you've already got

Instead of exporting your daytime surplus for a low feed-in tariff, store it and use it when it actually saves you money.

More independence

Less reliance on the grid, and depending on the system, backup power if there's a blackout.

A buffer against rising prices

The more power you generate and store yourself, the less you're exposed to what your retailer charges.

Lower environmental footprint

More of your energy comes from the sun instead of fossil fuels. Batteries help keep renewable power available even when it's not sunny.

Smarter automatically

Modern battery systems charge off your solar through the day and discharge to your home when needed, and can often be set to charge during cheap electricity windows too.

Is a Battery Right for You?

It's worth it if you:

  • Use a lot of power in the evening
  • Want to be less exposed to rising energy costs
  • Want to get more out of your solar
  • Care about energy security and independence
  • Want to shrink your environmental footprint

Not sure where you sit? We'll look at your usage and tell you straight whether a battery makes sense for your place.

Why Now?

Federal Government Battery Incentive

The Cheaper Home Batteries Program gives eligible battery installations an upfront discount through Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), whether you're adding a battery to an existing solar system or installing both together.

That incentive is winding down over time, so the earlier you install, the more it's worth.

What you're eligible for depends on the battery, your install date and the program's current terms. We'll confirm the exact incentive in your quote.

Battery Brands

We recommend and install quality GoodWe and Sigenergy battery storage solutions, designed to integrate seamlessly with modern solar systems. Both brands offer a flexible, modular range of residential batteries that provide reliable energy storage, help maximise solar self-consumption, reduce grid reliance and better manage your household's energy use.

Choosing Your Electricity Provider

Your retailer and plan matter almost as much as the hardware. Some offer battery-specific plans, better feed-in tariffs, free power windows, or Virtual Power Plant (VPP) programs, all of which change what your system is actually worth to you.

The right plan on top of the right system is what actually gets you the most value out of your solar.

Note: MOB Energy doesn't advise on or recommend specific electricity providers, plans or VPP programs. That's outside our lane. Plans and eligibility change, so check directly with the provider that your battery and inverter are compatible before signing up.
